Youth kills B-Pharmacy student in Nellore

A B-Pharmacy student was reportedly killed by a youth, who was known to her, at Current Office Center in Nellore on Saturday (September 13).

According to the sources, Maidhili Priya recently completed B-Pharmacy final year and was making plans for her future. Accused Nikhil called Maidhili to his room. During an argument between the two over personal reasons, Nikhil got angry and attacked her with a knife. Maidhili suffered serious injuries, died on the spot.

Nikhil surrendered at Vedayapalem police station after the incident. The police officials have immediately inspected the crime scene. In the preliminary investigation, they believed that Nikhil committed the murder out of anger when she rejected his love proposal. They have taken him into custody and interrogating him.

The body of the deceased has been shifted to Government General Hospital (GGH) mortuary for postmortem. Her family are demanding strict punishment for the accused to ensure that such incidents do not repeat again.

The police officials, including DSP P. Sindhu Priya, have inspected the crime scene and the investigation is on.
