Youth run over by train in Kasaragod

An 18-year-old from Bihar was killed after being hit by a train at Pallikkara in the district on Monday evening (May 26). The Bekal police have registered a case of unnatural death and launched an investigation into the incident.

The deceased was identified as Rithesh Kumar, a native of Belwar in Rajnagar, Madhubani district of Bihar.

According to the police, the incident occurred around 5:30 p.m. Preliminary investigation suggested that the youth died after being hit by a train.

Rithesh Kumar had come to Kerala for work and was staying at Pallikkara. The Bekal police have booked a case under Section 194 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita.
