Youth stabs aunt to death over ‘affair’

Pilibhit: A 30-year-old woman was killed after she was allegedly stabbed by her husband’s 19-year-old nephew in Ashraf Khan locality of Pilibhit city around 3pm on Saturday.Police said preliminary inquiry revealed that Shoeb Mansoori alias Monis was having an affair with Nisha Parveen who recently rejected him and turned away from him, which may have led to the murder.Nisha had been married to Shoeb’s uncle, Salim Ahmad, a fruit vendor, for nearly two years. According to a complaint filed by Salim, Nisha was in the house with their 7-month-old daughter at the time of the incident. Shoeb, who lives in a house adjacent to theirs, allegedly barged into the house and repeatedly stabbed her before fleeing. Nisha was taken to Autonomous State Medical College but the doctors declared her dead on arrival.SP Sukirti Madhav said forensic evidence was collected from the scene, after which the body was sent for autopsy. SHO Pramendra Singh said a case has been registered against the accused under BNS section 103(1) (murder).
