Ranchi: Over 1 lakh govt schoolteachers will undergo a formal Teacher Need Assessment (TNA) from Tuesday, the Jharkhand Education Project Council (JEPC) said on Monday. The second round of TNA will continue till November 20 across 63 blocks.
The first round was held in August this year. Uma Shankar Singh, secretary of the state school education and literacy department, said, "The TNA is now integrated with the Continuous Capacity and Professional Development (CCPD) programme, an initiative to strengthen the teaching ecosystem and enhance the delivery of quality education."The secretary directed all district education officers (DEO), district superintendents of education (DSE), and block-level officials to visit at least two to three assessment centres daily during the exercise. “Every provision in the standard operating procedure must be followed strictly. Even partial negligence in its implementation will not be tolerated,” Singh said. The JEPC has established a special monitoring cell to address complaints and operational concerns promptly.
Additionally, a team of 28 experts will provide technical assistance, while representatives from various educational NGOs will support district-level operations.
