2 Lawrence Bishnoi Gang Shooters Arrested, Had Returned From Nepal For 'Sensational Crime' In Punjab

Punjab’s Anti-Gangster Task Force has arrested two most-wanted shooters of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang from the Patiala-Ambala highway near Shambhu village in Haryana.

Preliminary investigation has revealed that the men, who have an extensive criminal history and over 15 heinous crime cases registered against them in Punjab, Delhi, Rajasthan and Gujarat, fled to Nepal after the murder of Bharat Ratan alias Vicky in Punjab’s Fazilka. They returned on directions of foreign-based handlers to commit a “sensational crime" in Punjab, Director General of Punjab Police, Gaurav Yadav, said in a post on X.

One Glock 9mm pistol and six live cartridges were recovered from the duo and an FIR registered against them at SAS Nagar.

The Lawrence Bishnoi gang is an organised crime syndicate operating mainly in North India, particularly in Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, and Delhi. Led by Bishnoi, a jailed gangster-turned-mastermind, the gang has been linked to murder, extortion, arms smuggling, and interstate criminal networks.

The most high-profile crime linked to the gang was the murder of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala in May 2022. Bishnoi is believed to have masterminded the killing as part of a gang rivalry and to assert dominance.
