22 trainees suffer food poisoning at police school in Khanapur

As many as 22 trainees of Karnataka State Police Training School in Khanapur in Belagavi suffered inconvenience after breakfast on Monday. They are suspected to have suffered food poisoning.

Some of them vomited, complained of nausea and weakness. They were admitted to a private hospital in Khanapur. All are out of danger and are recovering.

Nearly 50 trainees from around the State are undergoing nine-month training. Khanapur Police are collecting information about the food the trainees received. Iinvestigation is under way.

MLA Vitthal Halagekar, Deputy Commissioner Mohammed Roshan and other officers visited the hospital where the trainees are being treated.
