24 IAS, ACS officers transferred in NDA 2.0 first major rejig

Guwahati: Assam govt on Wednesday effected a major bureaucratic reshuffle, transferring and posting 24 IAS and ACS officers across key departments, including home, finance, agriculture, CM’s secretariat and multiple district commissioners.This is the first major reshuffle in the newly formed BJP-led govt.Among the key changes, Megha Nidhi Dahal, currently district commissioner of Dhubri, has been appointed finance secretary with additional charge as managing director of AIDC while Hojai DC Deba Prasad Misra has been moved as home and political secretary.Hivare Nisarg Gautam, secretary in the CM’s office and MD of Assam Urban Infrastructure Development & Finance Corporation Ltd.,

has been relieved of additional charge of AIDC and appointed finance secretary with additional responsibilities.Masanda Magdalin Pertin, serving in the home and political department, has been transferred and posted as additional secretary in the CM’s secretariat.Om Prakash, MD of Samagra Shiksha Assam, has been appointed commissioner and secretary in the environment & forest department and skill, employment and entrepreneurship department.

Madhu Sudan Nath, district commissioner of Chirang, has been appointed agriculture secretary. Barpeta DC Rohan Kumar Jha has been posted as secretary of the Barak Valley Development department with additional charge as project director of Assam Resilient Rural Bridge Programme.Ayush Garg, district commissioner of Cachar, has been appointed MD of Assam Mineral Development Corporation, while Vijaya Bhaskar Reddy has been given additional charge of the welfare of minorities and development department alongside his existing responsibilities.According to the notification, Rahul Kumar Gupta, DC of South Salmara-Mankachar, has been posted as DC of Cachar. Jay Vikas, earlier DC of Udalguri, will now serve as DC of Hailakandi, while Srishti Singh, DC Majuli, has been transferred to Morigaon.Parikshit Thaudan, joint secretary in the finance department and special commissioner of taxes, has been appointed DC of South Salmara-Mankachar. Sanjoy Dutta, secretary in the general administration department, has been posted as DC of Hojai, while Ratul Chandra Pathak, additional secretary in the revenue & disaster management department, will take charge as DC of Majuli.Anamika Tewari, DC Morigaon, has been shifted as additional secretary in the industries, commerce and public enterprises department. Nabadeep Pathak, additional secretary in administrative reforms and training and director of Assam Administrative Staff College, has been posted as DC Barpeta.Pulak Patgiri, additional secretary in the women and child development department, has been appointed DC of Udalguri. Karabi Saikia Karan, CEO of Zilla Parishad, Darrang, will now serve as DC of Biswanath.Lakhinandan Saharia, DC Biswanath, has been transferred as DC Bongaigaon, while Gakul Chandra Brahma, joint secretary in the agriculture department, has been posted as DC Chirang.
