28-year-old dies while celebrating RCB win in Belagavi district

A young man died of a heart attack while celebrating the victory of RCB in the IPL final, in Avaradi village in Belagavi district of Karnataka on June 3.

Manjunath Eerappa Kumbar, 28, was dancing at the Sangolli Rayanna Circle at midnight after the match ended when he collapsed. His friends took him to a nearby hospital at Mahalingpur in Bagalkot district, but he was declared brought dead.

A case has been registered.

He was a devoted RCB fan. He had organised a screening of the match on a large screen at the circle. He had formed Avaradi Warriors, a local cricket team, and organised tournaments.

He was married and has a six-month-old daughter. He leaves behind his pregnant wife, mother and father.
