A devastating accident on the Nandyal highway claimed three lives when a private bus, en route to Hyderabad, burst a tyre, veered across the divider, and collided with a lorry, igniting a fierce blaze
The bus, travelling from Nellore to Hyderabad, suffered a tyre burst, lost control, crossed the road divider, and collided with an oncoming lorry. The impact was so severe that the bus immediately caught fire, killing the bus driver, the lorry driver and the cleaner on the spot.Passengers panicked as flames engulfed the vehicle. In a brave rescue, a local mini-van driver broke the bus windows, helping 36 passengers escape safely and preventing a larger tragedy.More than 15 passengers sustained serious injuries and were taken to Nandyal Government Hospital in 108 ambulances for treatment. The bus was identified as an AR BCVR Travels vehicle.Nandyal SP Suneel Sheoran visited the accident site to investigate the cause. Roads and Buildings Minister BC Janardhan Reddy expressed condolences to the bereaved families and instructed officials to provide the best possible medical care to the injured.
