3 dead, 4 missing as flash floods hit J&K's Ramban; houses washed away

Three people were killed and at least four others went missing after flash floods struck the Jammu and Kashmir's Ramban district on Friday, officials said.

According to authorities, heavy rain and a cloudburst in the higher reaches of the Rajgarh area triggered the floods, sweeping away houses and damaging several others. Some structures were completely washed off in the gushing waters.

The local administration has launched rescue and relief operations. Teams have been dispatched to the affected sites to trace the missing and assist residents.
