A 30-year-old Indian woman, identified as Himanshi Khurana, was found dead inside a residence in Toronto in what police have classified as a homicide, triggering a Canada-wide manhunt for a suspect known to the victim, according to the Toronto Police Service and local media reports.

Toronto Police said officers first learnt of the case after responding to a missing person call on Friday, December 19, 2025, at approximately 10.41 pm (local time).

The call was made from the Strachan Avenue and Wellington Street West area, where Khurana was last seen.
