₹375 crore released for Musi Riverfront Development

The State government, on Friday, issued orders releasing ₹375 crore towards the Musi Riverfront Development project. This is from the budgetary provision of ₹1,500 crore, sanctioned for the financial year 2025-26, the orders said.

Sources from the Musi Riverfront Development Corporation (MRDCL) informed that the stretch up to Bapughat in Langar Houz will be taken up in the first phase. The first phase also consists of the ‘Gateway of Hyderabad’ as envisioned by Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, which includes Gandhi Sarovar project with the ‘world’s tallest’ statue of Mahatma Gandhi.
