38 from UP leave for Arunachal Pradesh under Yuva Sangam exchange programme

IIML flags off the Yuva Sangam exchange programme for 38 student delegates from UP

Lucknow: Thirty-eight students from Uttar Pradesh left for Arunachal Pradesh on Monday in an exchange programme under Phase VI of Union ministry of education’s Yuva Sangam, an initiative to promote diversity and people-to-people connect.The flagging off was done by the Indian Institute of Management, Lucknow, the nodal institution facilitating the exchange programme. Assistant professor at IIM Lucknow and group leader for Yuva Sangam Phase VI Arvind Shroff briefed the students and emphasised discipline, responsibility and meaningful cultural exchange.As part of the initiative, delegates from Uttar Pradesh will visit Arunachal Pradesh from May 26 to 30, and delegates from Arunachal Pradesh will visit Uttar Pradesh from June 1 to 6.Being hosted by the North Eastern Regional Institute of Science and Technology, the UP student delegates will get an opportunity to experience the cultural heritage and various unique aspects of the region.The Yuva Sangam programme is aimed at strengthening cultural integration and mutual understanding among youth from different states across the country. Designed around the theme of the ‘Five Ps’ — Paryatan (Tourism), Parampara (Tradition), Pragati (Development), Paraspar Sampark (People-to-People Connect), and Prodyogiki (Technology) — the exchange programme reflects India’s rich diversity and spirit of national integration, said an official.
