At least four people were killed in southern Lebanon on Tuesday as Israeli strikes continued despite the newly announced US-Iran agreement that includes an end to fighting involving Hezbollah.

According to Lebanon’s state-run National News Agency (NNA), Israeli drone strikes targeted two vehicles in the town of Mayfadoun and another in nearby Shukeen in the Nabatieh area. The attacks killed at least four people and wounded several others.

The latest deaths come despite a framework agreement announced by Washington and Tehran aimed at ending the war that has engulfed the Middle East since February.

While violence in Lebanon has eased since the deal was unveiled, Israeli strikes in the country’s south have killed at least five people since Monday, according to Lebanese media.
