Tech influencer Lamarr Wilson, who passed away at age 48 last month, has been confirmed to have died by suicide, according to the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s Office. Wilson was found at a residence on Friday, Nov. 21. The tragic news of his death was later confirmed by his family via a Facebook update on Saturday, Dec. 13.

Wilson made his name online as a tech lifestyle influencer across platforms, sharing informational and entertaining videos about phones, computers, gaming systems, home devices and other gadgets on the market. He boasted over 3 million followers and subscribers between his YouTube, Instagram and TikTok pages.

On Oct. 22, Wilson commemorated his most recent birthday by sharing a selfie and a personal update on Instagram.

“Today is my 48th birthday & I’m down 48 pounds! It shouldn’t take a health scare like I had this year to get your #%&$ together, but hey, it worked," he began in the post’s caption. “I’m losing it all naturally, now that I figured out the discipline."
