The CBI conducted an 8-hour search at Bhaurao Kadam's residence in Maharashtra's Nanded.
The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has raided the residence of a man named Bhaurao Kadam in Maharashtra’s Nanded as part of its widening probe into the NEET-UG 2026 paper leak case, with investigators alleging that he paid Rs 5 lakh to obtain the leaked question paper for his daughter ahead of the examination held on May 3.
The NEET-UG 2026 exam was cancelled after allegations of a paper leak surfaced. The government later announced that the re-examination would be held on June 21. Investigating agencies have arrested a number of individuals involved in the matter with further probe underway.
The latest search operation, which lasted nearly eight hours, was carried out at Bhaurao Kadam’s home in the Vidyutnagar area of Nanded.
Officials examined documents and other materials at the residence and also questioned multiple members of the family during the course of the raid.
Sources told India Today that the investigators were trying to establish when the paper was obtained, who supplied it and how the transaction was arranged.
