After Jyoti Malhotra, Another YouTuber Arrested In Punjab On Charges Of Espionage

Jasbir Singh, who runs a YouTube channel called "Jaan Mahal", has been linked to PIO Shakir, also known as Jutt Randhawa, who is part of a terror-backed espionage network.

In a major breakthrough, the State Special Operations Cell (SSOC) in Mohali has uncovered a significant espionage network involving Jasbir Singh based on intelligence information. The suspect is a resident of Mahlan village in Rupnagar, Ropar district of Punjab.

Jasbir Singh, who runs a YouTube channel called “Jaan Mahal", has been linked to PIO Shakir, also known as Jutt Randhawa, who is part of a terror-backed espionage network. The YouTuber also reportedly maintained close contact with Haryana-based YouTuber Jyoti Malhotra and Ehsan-ur-Rahim, also known as Danish, a Pakistani national and expelled Pak High Commission official.

Investigations have shown that Jasbir attended the Pakistan National Day event in Delhi on Danish’s invitation, where he met Pakistani Army officials and vloggers.

The Punjab Police informed that Singh has also traveled to Pakistan on three occasions, once in 2020 and then subsequently in 2021 and in 2024. Meanwhile, it is also found that his electronic devices contained multiple Pakistan-based numbers, which are now under detailed forensic examination.

The police stated that following YouTuber Jyoti Malhotra’s arrest, Singh attempted to erase all traces of his communications with these PIOs to evade detection.

An FIR has been registered at the State Special Operations Cell in Mohali in connection to the case.

Punjab Police has reaffirmed its unwavering commitment to safeguarding national security and neutralising all threats posed by such anti-national elements. It has also stated that investigations are ongoing to dismantle the broader espionage-terror network and identify all collaborators.
