AJ Lee makes shocking return to WWE after a decade on SmackDown

The wrestling world thought that they would never be able to see top star, AJ Lee, back in the WWE. For a decade, it did not happen despite major rumors and speculations on numerous occasions.

However, this week's edition of SmackDown was not the same, as the Black Widow finally made her resurgence back to the company to side with her husband, CM Punk, in his feud with Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch.

AJ Lee returns to side with CM Punk on WWE SmackDown

The last segment of the September 5 edition of Friday Night SmackDown, taking place at the Allstate arena in Chicago, Illinois, saw Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch taking over the ringside. The Man got into the ring while Rollins watched from the skybox as his wife berated CM Punk.

The Best in the World came out to confront Lynch again, much like it happened on RAW this week. She once again put her hands on Punk, knowing he would not retaliate.

The Second City Saint got out of the ring and claimed that he had a lot of friends and had one name already on his mind to counter Becky Lynch. Just then, the fans were left stunned as AJ Lee's music hit and she came out to one of the biggest pops in WWE history. The fans were thrilled to see the skipping to the ring as one of the original pioneers of women's wrestling made her return after ten years.

She got into the ring, and an all-out brawl broke out between AJ Lee and Becky Lynch, which led to The Man retreating. Moreover, her husband, Seth Rollins, who was also shocked at CM Punk's equalizer, chose to retreat with his wife. The Best in the World got into the ring to embrace his wife in a memorable moment, as SmackDown came to a close.With AJ Lee back in WWE, it is expected that she will team up with CM Punk to battle Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch in a mixed tag team at Wrestlepalooza.
