Before the bell even rang for the AJ Styles vs Dominik Mysterio matchup, the energy was different. Styles, clad in Latino Heat-inspired gear, embraced nostalgia without stealing the spotlight. AJ started strong, crisp and focused, putting on a technical display that reminded fans why his debut match against John Cena in 2016 is still considered one of SummerSlam’s all-time greats. But Dominik was ready to defend his title.
