Ajay Devgn’s ‘De De Pyaar De 2’ witnesses over 75 % jump at advance ticket window; crosses Rs 2.40 crore mark

Ajay Devgn is back in action with 'De De Pyaar De 2', a sequel that's already stirring excitement among fans. Joining him are R Madhavan and Gautami Kapoor, and the film is primed for release on November 14th. The infectious music has been a hot topic, and advance bookings are showing promising results, especially in Maharashtra and Delhi.

Ajay Devgn is back on the big screen with De De Pyaar De 2, sequel of his 2019 successful flick De De Pyaar De with Rakul Preet Singh and Jaaved Jaaferi, the film went on to make Rs 104.13 crore at the box office. For the second part R Madhavan, Gautami Kapoor and Meezaan Jaferi have been added to the mix.The film has been generating a lot of buzz thanks to the music of the film especially 3 Shauk which featured Meezan and Jaaved with Rakul.The film is slated to release on 14th November and by 10 AM of 13th morning the film has witnessed an over 75 % jump from its Wednesday advance booking collection. Till Wednesday morning the film had collected Rs 1.37 crore while on Thursday morning the film had crossed Rs 2 crore mark and its collection now stands at Rs 2.41 crore. A closer look at the numbers reveals that only Rs 62.61 lakh has come from organic sales and Rs 1.78 crore has come from block bookings.

Maharashtra and Delhi circuits are leading the charge with maximum collection of Rs 53.68 lakh and Rs 54.22 lakh respectively.14th November will also see the release of Dulquer Salmaan,

Rana Daggubati

and

Bhagyashri Borse

’s Kaantha in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi and Malayalam version. But given Dulquer’s pull in Hindi market- it si hardly going to be a competition for Ajay starrer which is a sequel and already has an established fan base. De De pyaar De 2 is expected to have a double figure opening. Sequels are considered the safest bet at the box office but last year many sequels have failed to generate much buzz but despite that Ajay has continued his sequel race with films like Dhamaal, Drishyam and Golmaal in the pipeline.
