Reliance Jio Infocomm Limited (RJIL) chairman Akash Ambani visited Puri on Wednesday night to pay obeisance at the Jagannath Temple and seek blessings for the success of his team Mumbai Indians in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) season. Mumbai secured their spot in the IPL playoffs and will play the Eliminator on May 30.

The elder son of businessman Mukesh Ambani was welcomed by the family priest Jagannath Kar and he attended the evening ‘Alati’ and ‘Bada Sinhar Besha’ of Lord Jagannath.

Earlier in April last year, Akash’s younger brother Anant Ambani had visited Puri and offered prayers to the Holy Trinity at Lord Jagannath temple. This was Anant’s second visit to the 12th-century shrine ahead of his marriage with Radhika Merchant.

Meanwhile, earlier this week, Akash Ambani paid a visit to the Dwarkadhish Temple in Gujarat with his father, wife Shloka Mehta, and children Prithvi and Veda. The family was also spotted at the Parmarth Niketan in Rishikesh in the beginning of May.
