 Balakrishna's makes Rs 46 crore despite a slight drop on Saturday

Nandamuri Balakrishna’s much-awaited 'Akhanda 2: Thaandavam' has opened to an impressive response at the box office.The action-packed entertainer began its theatrical run with a solid start.

The film collected around Rs 8 crore on the day before release (Thursday). The film then witnessed a massive jump on its first day, minting approximately Rs 22.5 crore on Friday across all languages.As reported by the Sacnilk website, on its second day, Saturday, 'Akhanda 2' continued its steady run and earned around Rs 15.50 crore India net, as per early estimates.With these figures, 'Akhanda 2: Thaandavam' has comfortably touched the Rs 46 crore mark in just two days at the Indian box office.

Occupancy trends show growth through the day

On Saturday, the Telugu (2D) version recorded an encouraging overall occupancy of 37.04 per cent. Morning shows began at 28.86 per cent. It steadily climbed through the day, with afternoon shows at 50.14 per cent. The evening shows were at 57.84 per cent, and the night shows peaked at 68.48 per cent.The Telugu (3D) version also showed a gradual rise, with night shows touching 47.39 per cent occupancy. Meanwhile, the Tamil (2D) version registered an overall occupancy of 15.81 per cent.
