‘Alpha’ teaser: SS Rajamouli praises Alia Bhatt’s fierce action avatar; calls spy thriller ‘promising’

Ace filmmaker SS Rajamouli reacted to the recently unveiled teaser of Alia Bhatt starrer spy action drama film, ‘Alpha’. Calling it "promising" the director heaped praise on her ‘RRR’ female lead as she dwells in a full blown action sequence.

SS Rajamouli’s words on ‘Alpha’

SS Rajamouli shared the 1 minute and 49 second teaser, he wrote, “Alia is fantastic as always. Absolutely outstanding and so fierce in the action sequences! #AlphaTeaser looks promising. Good luck to the entire team.”Talking about the teaser, it shows Alia Bhatt's character is celebrating her 18th birthday with her father played by Bobby Deol. As they celebrate her special in a restaurant takes a turn as she is now expected to perform a high-stake mission on the 34th floor of the hotel.

Bobby Deol is shown to be training Alia from childhood, acting as her mentor for the “Alpha” operation.

SS Rajamouli’s advice to Alia Bhatt

Alia Bhatt made her Telugu debut in SS Rajamouli’s blockbuster film, ‘RRR’ playing the female lead opposite Ram Charan, which also featured Jr NTR. Earlier in 2024, while speaking in a summit, the actress revealed the advice she received from the ‘Varanasi’ director on choosing films. She said, “I asked SS Rajamouli what kind of films I should choose because I’m always torn.

He said, whatever you choose, just do it with love.

Because even if the film is not good, the audience will see love in your eyes for what you do and they will connect with that. Because, there is nothing greater than love in this world.”

About ‘Varanasi’

On the other hand, SS Rajamouli after the success of his 2022 film is now working on his next big project, ‘Varanasi’ led by Tollywood superstar Mahesh Babu, and also includes global icon Priyanka Chopra and Prithiviraj Sukumaran. The film is said to be a time travelling action adventure which is currently in the production phase.It is set to hit the big screens on April 7, 2027.
