Ranchi: Ranchi Municipal Corporation (RMC) administrator Sushant Gaurav inspected Birsa Munda Bus Terminal in Khadgarha and its adjoining areas on Monday to take stock of passenger amenities.Gaurav reviewed the terminal’s layout, sanitation and crowd movement. Officials were instructed to redraw the terminal layout and mark bus bays with signboards to streamline passenger flow. The engineering wing was asked to complete road repairs and cover open drains, while a proposal for a new modern toilet block was sought in view of rising footfall. To address disorder and illegal use of space, RMC will remove abandoned vehicles, impose fines for unauthorised parking, and initiate action against illegal shop extensions.
Empty shops will be allotted as per rules. Security measures are also set to be strengthened with CCTV installation across the premises in coordination with local police. “The Khadgarha bus terminal handles a large volume of passengers every day. Maintaining cleanliness, order, and safety at a high standard is essential. Any illegal structure or encroachment will face strict action,” Gaurav said.
