Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu welcomed the proposal put forth by a delegation of academicians, researchers, and firms working in quantum computing and related fields, for creating Amaravati Quantum BioFoundry, which comprises a knowledge ecosystem anchored by a Quantum Simulation Centre, a National Quantum BioFoundry, an Innovation Hub, and a nationwide spoke network.

Addressing the delegates, Mr. Naidu reaffirmed the government’s commitment to promote frontier technologies and provide conditions that attract global investments and innovation.

He stressed that the future lies in applications, knowledge, and filling the missing links. Few countries were currently harnessing the power of quantum science in biomedicine, he said, promising to support the bio-foundry vision with the required policy framework.

According to an official release, the focus areas of the proposed quantum biomedical research ecosystem in Amaravati include quantum medicine, quantum biology, and life sciences integration through a multidisciplinary and computation-led and data-driven approach.

The delegation comprised experts working across three critical frontiers of quantum technology, namely computation, wet-lab research, and next-generation wearables. Secretary to Chief Minister Pradyumna and Secretary (ITE&C) Bhaskar Katamneni were present.
