Ankit Bhatia joins Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi 2, says, 'I had auditioned for two other roles in the same show and got rejected'

Ankit Bhatia is all set to be part of the show Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi 2 as Viren Patel—his first full-fledged negative role. “I’m stepping into the shoes of Viren, who brings the first storm into the Virani family and keeps the drama alive.

It’s a special role for me because it’s completely opposite to my real personality,” he says. Taking on a character with roots in a culture he isn’t fluent in has added to the challenge. “It’s not just about attitude or body language; the character is Gujarati, and I’m not fluent in the language. I’m working hard to add that authentic Gujarati touch to my dialogues,” he adds. Sharing about his nostalgic feeling with the show, the actor says, “This was the first show I ever watched as a kid. I remember sitting with my family and following it religiously. Now, being a part of its revival—it’s surreal. I had auditioned for two other roles in the same show and got rejected. But I’ve always believed that God’s plan is better than ours."Lastly he says, "I just hope the audience showers me with the same love they gave Balwinder in Bhagya Lakshmi,” he concludes.
