Days after a deadly industrial mishap, a second accident in the Vizag Steel Plant in Andhra Pradesh’s Visakhapatnam has triggered concerns over adequate safety standards, after molten metal was accidentally discharged on the ground due to a hole in a ladle.
A large quantity of molten metal spilled onto the shop floor after a hole developed in a ladle at the TP Bay of SMS-1, triggering panic at the Vizag Steel Plant. No injuries were reported in the incident.
