The Apollo University (TAU) hosted a rare stamp exhibition “Apolopex–2025”, organised by the University’s Philately Club in association with the Indian Postal Department and the Manipal Philatelic and Numismatic Club, at its Knowledge Centre Auditorium in Chittoor on Saturday (September 20, 2025).

The show witnessed the participation of over two thousand students, teachers, philately enthusiasts, and researchers from various parts of Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, and Karnataka. The event presented 60 frames of rare stamps, historic letters, and postal covers.

The exhibition also displayed thematic collections on wildlife, climate change, national and international observances, temples, medicine, and space exploration. The organisers said that several collections had previously won awards at National philately exhibitions.

Apollo University Vice-Chancellor Dr. Vinodh Bhat said that the exhibition reflected the rich cultural and historical narratives behind each stamp. “The experience is both educational and inspiring, and the exhibition serves as a cultural milestone, introducing Chittoor to the legacy of postal history,” he said.
