Chairman of Andhra Pradesh State Skill Development Corporation (APSSDC) B. Sesharao on Wednesday (June 18) emphasised the need to work collectively to enhance skill development among the youth.
Addressing a review meeting held at the Corporation’s head office at Tadepalli, Mr. Sesharao took stock of the various skill development programmes, their implementation, progress and management.
He underscored the need to design training programmes that align with the industry needs and regular reviews to assess the performance of training centres in each district. He said every employee of the Skill Development Corporation should work collectively and in a transparent way to achieve the ambitious targets set by the government.
Speaking about the importance of strengthening the industry–academic connect to create better employment opportunities for the youth, he said efforts would be made to provide skill training from the high school level onwards and added that the corporation would actively support the startup ecosystem.
He said officials at all levels should work relentlessly in tandem to achieve the development goals outlined in “Vision 2047”.
The meeting was attended by managing director and chief executive officer of the corporation Ganesh Kumar, Advisor for International Skill and Employment Affairs Seetha Sharma, executive directors of the corporation G. Anil Kumar, D. Manohar and Raghu.
