American commentator Tucker Carlson has claimed that Saudi and Qatari authorities arrested Mossad agents allegedly plotting bomb attacks in the two Gulf countries.

The former Fox News host claimed the arrests indicate that Israel is widening the conflict and targeting additional countries in the Middle East.

Calling the arrests as “weird", Carlson made the claims during an episode of The Tucker Carlson Show, released on Monday.

“So, it’s probably not hasn’t been reported but it’s a fact that last night in Qatar and Saudi Arabia authorities arrested Mossad agents planning on committing bombings in those countries now. That’s weird. That doesn’t make any sense," he claimed.

The commentator also questioned Israel’s motives, saying, “Why would the Israelis be committing bombings in two Gulf countries which are also being attacked by Iran? Aren’t they on the same side?"

He further added, “No. No. Israel wants to hurt Iran and Qatar and UAE and Saudi and Bahrain and Oman and Kuwait. And they’ve succeeded in doing so."
