Ayushmann Khurrana’s Thamma all set to challenge Salman Khan’s Sikandar as the 10th biggest Hindi hit of 2025

Ayushmann Khurrana's latest venture, Thamma, has swiftly made waves at the box office by surpassing the Rs 100 crore milestone within just eight days of its release, solidifying its position as the 11th highest earner of the year. While it enjoyed a robust Diwali debut, the film's momentum has experienced ups and downs.

Post the success of Dream Girl 2, Ayushmann Khurrana has now added one more feather to his cap with the stellar run of his latest release Thamma. The film has already entered the Rs 100 crore club with an 8 day collection of Rs 101.10 crore .

It has already become the 11th biggest hit of the year displacing Akshay Kumar’s Kesari 2 a few days ago. The film is now knocking at the doors of Top 10 hits of the year and the 10th spot is being held by Salman Khan and Rashmika Mandanna’s Sikandar which had a lifetime collection of Rs 110. 36 crore. THe journey from Thamma is far from over as no big Hindi release has been lined up for the next few weeks but the re-release of Baahubali franchise as Baahubali- The Epic headlined by

Prabhas

and

Rana Daggubati

can be a stumbling block for its future. Also Thamma has been on a slippery box office road, despite opening huge on Diwali day with a collection of Rs 24 crore, its numbers have only slipped with a minor spike coming in only during the weekends. Day 1: Rs 24 crore Day 2: Rs 18.6 crore Day 3: Rs 13 crore Day 4: Rs 10 crore Day 5 Rs 13.1 crore Day 6: Rs 12.6 croreDay 7:Rs 4.3 crore Day 8: Rs 5.5 crore Thamma which is the latest installment of Horror-Comedy universe after films like Stree , Stree 2, Munjya and Bhediya is directed by Aditya Sarpotdar and features Rashmika Mandanna, Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Paresh Rawal.

It would be interesting to see how much Thamma is able to push itself up the box office ladder. It is the most expensive film from the horror-comedy universe which is reportedly made on a budget of Rs 145 crore. To be in the safe zone it would require to at least touch Rs 150 crore mark at the box office .
