SS Rajamouli's 'Baahubali: The Epic' is set for a grand re-release this week. Before fans can make their way to theatres, the makers shared a clip from a conversation with lead actors Prabhas, Rana Daggubati and the visionary director, in which they discussed some of the most memorable moments from the sets.
SS Rajamouli also shared his thoughts on Anushka Shetty's unforgettable portrayal of Devasena.
SS Rajamouli praises Anushka Shetty's performance
The makers shared a video on the film's official social media handle that saw SS Rajamouli, Prabhas, and Rana recalling the film's journey, the challenges of its massive production, and the magic that made it a cultural phenomenon. During the discussion, the director spoke fondly about Anushka's presence in the film, particularly Devasena's majestic entry into Maahishmati.Rajamouli shared, "When Anushka was entering Maahishmati, she looked like an ethereal beauty… how she was stunned by the scale." Prabhas, who played Amarendra Baahubali, immediately agreed, as he shared that the actress looked stunning.

For the unversed, in the movie, Shetty played the role of Devasena, a fierce warrior princess of the Kuntala Kingdom, in both parts - 'Baahubali: The Beginning' and 'Baahubali: The Conclusion'.
Her chemistry with Prabhas and her commanding screen presence in the film received massive acclaim.
Film's performance
Originally released on July 10, 2015, 'Baahubali: The Beginning' broke box-office records and went on to become a milestone in Indian filmmaking. While the first part collected over Rs 650 crore the sequel earned over Rs 1788.06 crore, worldwide as per Sacnilk.Now, 10 years after its original release, the two-part saga is being re-released as 'Baahubali: The Epic'. The film will be a remastered theatrical version with enhanced visual effects and sound. It is set to release on October 31st, 2025, in multiple languages.
