"10 minutes of just bang bang bang," was how an eyewitness described the violence he saw during the Bondi Beach shooting, in which nine people were killed, and several others were injured at one of Australia’s most famous tourist destinations.News agency AFP reported the account of Camilo Diaz, a 25-year-old Chilean tourist who shared the moment as he recalls, "We heard the shots. It was shocking. It felt like 10 minutes of just bang, bang, bang. It seemed like a powerful weapon." Timothy Brant-Coles, a British tourist who also witnessed the gunfire at the Sydney hotspot, recounted the moments of panic and confusion. He said, "There was a shooting, two shooters in black with semi-automatic rifles," describing how multiple people were shot and sustained injuries as the attack unfolded.30-year-old resident Harry Wilson told the Sydney Herald, he "saw at least 10 people on the ground and blood everywhere."One victim, who was shot in the leg, said he barricaded himself inside the North Bondi Surf Life Saving Club with dozens of others, hearing repeated "popping noises" as people leapt over security fencing and fled for safety.Other people in Bondi said they heard up to 50 gunshots and saw bodies on the ground near Campbell Parade.
