Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday said that every person in West Bengal wanted the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and accused the Trinamool Congress (TMC) government of stalling the state’s development and sheltering infiltrators.
In a virtual address at a BJP rally in Taherpur, PM Modi recalled that the people of Bihar voted for the NDA for development and paved the way for the BJP’s victory in Bengal. “There is jungle raj going on in West Bengal. We need to get rid of it," he said.
“Every child, town and village is saying baanchte chai, BJP chai (We want to survive, we want BJP). Modi wants to work hard for Bengal. There is no shortage of money or ideas for the development of West Bengal. However, there is a government which is busy in charging commissions," he added.
