Bengaluru automobile shop gutted in fire, goods worth ₹1 crore damaged

An automobile shop situated on J.C. Road in Bengaluru was gutted due to an accidental fire break out on Saturday, causing the damage of goods and materials worth over ₹1 crore.

The fire was noticed by staff of the neighbouring shop, who alerted the police at around 9 p.m. The police called the fire control room, following which two tenders along with fire and emergency service personnel rushed to the spot and put out the flames after three hours of operation.

No one was injured in the mishap.

The S.J. Park police have registered a case and are investigating further to ascertain the exact cause of the fire.
