Bengaluru Man Poses As Dance Teacher, Sexually Assaults Minor In Car

A 28-year-old man was arrested in Bengaluru for allegedly luring a minor girl into his car by posing as a dance teacher and sexually assaulting her.

A man, who identified himself as a dance teacher, was arrested on charges of allegedly sexually assaulting a minor girl in Bengaluru.

According to a report with NDTV, the incident happened on May 24, when the accused, identified as 28-year-old Bharathi Kannan, was driving his car in the Kadugodi area of the city.

He allegedly stopped his car near a minor girl who was walking along the roadside.

The accused then introduced himself to the girl as a dance teacher and lured her into his car on the pretext of giving her details about dance classes.

As the survivor sat in the car, the man allegedly locked the doors and took her to a secluded place. He reportedly touched her inappropriately during this while.

After a while, the accused reportedly dropped her back to the spot where he had picked her from.

The case was reported after the survivor narrated her ordeal to her parents.

A case was filed by the girl’s family, which subsequently led to Kannan’s arrest.
