The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a Yellow alert for Bengaluru on Wednesday. The weather department has forecast a week-long rainfall for the IT hub till October 26. The maximum temperature would likely settle at 30 degrees Celsius, while the minimum is expected to be around 20 degrees Celsius.

Amid a cyclone threat in Karnataka, heavy to very heavy rain or thundershowers accompanied by gusty winds (30–40 kmph) are likely to occur at one or two places over Kodagu, Chikkamagaluru, Shivamogga, Chamarajanagara, and Hassan districts.

Bengaluru Weather Update

According to a weekly forecast by the Met Department, Bengaluru is expected to witness moderate rainfall with partly clear skies. The maximum temperature will be around 30 degrees Celsius and the minimum around 20 degrees Celsius.

“Heavy to very heavy rain/thundershowers with gusty wind (30-40 kmph) likely to occur at one or two places over Kodagu, Chikkamagaluru, Shivamogga, Chamarajanagara and Hassan districts. Heavy rain/thundershowers with gusty wind (30-40 kmph) likely to occur at one or two places over Mysuru, Mandya, Bengaluru (Rural), Bengaluru (Urban), Kolar, Ramanagara, Chikkaballapura and Tumakuru districts," the latest IMD bulletin released by the Regional Meteorological Centre in Bengaluru read.

An alert has also been issued for Mysuru, Mandya, Bengaluru (Rural), Bengaluru (Urban), Kolar, Ramanagara, Chikkaballapura, and Tumakuru districts.
