The Karnataka high court on Friday granted interim conditional relief to office-bearers of the Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA), after the cricket board moved the high court to quash the FIR registered against its officials in the Chinnaswamy Stadium stampede case.Justice SR Krishna Kumar ordered that no coercive action should be taken for now against the KSCA office-bearers.However, the order is subject to the condition that the petitioners should co-operate in the ongoing investigation, and not leave the jurisdiction of the court. The next hearing in the matter will be held on June 16.The plea was moved by KSCA president Raghu Ram Bhat and a few other office-bearers after the Bengaluru Police registered FIR against Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 winners Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), event management firm DNA entertainment private limited, and the KSCA.The stampede occurred on Wednesday outside the Chinnaswamy Stadium, RCB's home venue, where a large number of fans gathered to participate in the celebrations of the team winning the IPL, the franchise's first title since the league began in April 2008.
