BGMI 4.1 update release date revealed by leaks: New Frosty Funland winter theme and features expected

Krafton is yet to officially announce the release date of BGMI 4.1 update. But the internet is buzzing with leaks and rumours around the upcoming release. According to reports, the update is likely to bring a full seasonal re-skin inspired by winter.

It may also introduce new points of interest, mobility tools, and event-linked progression systems across classic maps.

BGMI 4.1 update: Expected features

The upcoming BGMI 4.1 update is said to deliver a winter-themed gameplay experience called Frosty Funland Mode. Players will explore icy areas like Penguinville and Penguin Towns, featuring snow-covered landscapes and settlements built by penguins. These locations will offer interactive exploration, themed loot, and weather effects that affect movement and combat.New mechanics and items aim to make battles more exciting. Leaks suggest Magic Ice Skates that let players glide and jump across frozen surfaces, and Penguin Snowmobiles, a four-seater vehicle capable of firing snowballs that slow down opponents. A new NPC Crests System will allow players to collect tokens during matches and redeem them for rewards.Frosty Funland will transform classic maps such as Erangel into a winter wonderland.

Players may encounter Salted Fish Rocket Launchers that leave icy traps, Enhancement Elixirs crafted by Apothecary Penguins for temporary boosts, and other festive effects. The seasonal update is expected to include themed rewards, mythic outfits, and a new Royale Pass to complete the experience.

BGMI 4.1 update: Expected release date

BGMI usually has a cycle of two months where it rolls out patches every two months. The last BGMI version, BGMI 4.0 was released in September. Going by the usual cycle, the next update which is BGMI 4.1 may be rolled out next month i.e. November. While there is no official announcement from Krafton yet, it is likely that the BGMI 4.1 update may drop between November 11 and November 16,, 2025. Based on the rumours online, November 12 is said to be the most likely date for the release.
