According to a report by Deccan Chronicle, Ravi Teja, who has had quite an underwhelming run at the box office recently, has decided to drop the popular tag for his next release. As per the same report, a distributor mentioned that the name of the screen will simply read Ravi Teja, without any prefix. They called this approach a “pragmatic and appreciable move”.Ravi Teja has faced a challenging box office phase recently, with his multiple films receiving an underwhelming performance in 2024 and 2025.
His movies like ‘Tiger Nageswara Rao’, ‘Mr Bachchan’, ‘Mass Jathara’ and others failed to put up numbers at the box office despite their initial hype.
About the upcoming movie, ‘Bhartha Mahasayulaku Vignapthi’
Directed by Kishore Tirumala, ‘BMW’ is expected to be a clean, family-friendly entertainer, aimed squarely at the Sankranti festival audience. The movie stars Kannada actress Ashika Ranganath and Dimple Hayathi as female leads.The film was planned well in advance, with Ravi Teja consciously choosing to step into a genre he hasn’t explored much in recent years.

Ravi Teja was seen in ‘Mass Jathara’, which is a mass action drama helmed by debutant director Bheems Ceciroleo. The movie stars Ravi Teja playing the role of a railway officer who battles injustice. He locks horns with a minister’s son in Warangal, which leads to a transfer in Adivivaram. There, he takes on Sivudu, who is a gangster leading a group that operates drug smuggling operations. Sreeleela plays the female lead, marking her second collaboration after their successful hit ‘Dhamaka’.
The film received mixed reviews, leading to a low box office run.
