Popular social media influencer and former Bigg Boss Malayalam contestant, Muhammad Diligent "Blesslee is arrested in a major online fraud case. He was arrested on Tuesday(December 16) at the Thiruvananthapuram International Airport due to a look-out notice issued against him by the Kozhikode Police.As reported by police, the case against Blesslee is that he was masterminding a sophisticated online fraud where he and his cohorts deceived their victims by offering job opportunities and others, in exchange for huge cash amounts, which were collected through various ‘mule’ bank accounts and eventually converted into cryptocurrencies that could be transferred to various Chinese accounts, among others.According to the Kozhikode Crime Branch’s probe that has been on for several months, evidence was found about the scale of financial transactions that relate to the mule accounts.
Investigations by the police show that the scam is systematic and on a larger scale that involves hundreds of accounts and several accomplices from different regions of the state.There were claims that Blesslee was under surveillance prior to his arrest. The police had received a tip that he was trying to flee the state; hence, he was arrested at the airport. Later, he was arraigned in front of a magistrate and formally committed to custody.For the unversed, Blessless was the first runner-up in the 4th season of Bigg Boss Malayalam.
