Patna: Madhya Pradesh CM Mohan Yadav said in Patna on Sunday that Bihar has long been known for spreading the message of peace, non-violence and social harmony to the world.Addressing a cultural conference organised by All India Yadav Mahasabha Ahir, Bihar unit, he said his govt is encouraging the Gurukul education system through more than 300 Sandipani schools.

“We are building Shri Krishna Patheya Tirtha at the places of Lord Krishna's Leela,” he added.Mohan Yadav said Pataliputra (Patna) and Avantika (Ujjain) are among the oldest cities in the country. “Once the emperor used to reside in Pataliputra and the crown prince in Avantika. The flow of ideas of Buddhism spread to the whole world from Bihar, which has given the direction of peace, non-violence and social harmony to the whole world,” he added.The Madhya Pradesh CM said India’s basic identity lies in its culture. “If you just say you have come from the land of Ram-Krishna-Buddha without taking the name of India, the foreigners will understand that you are an Indian. This is our basic identity,” he said.Prominent participants included Bihar assembly Speaker Nand Kishore Yadav, Chhattisgarh minister Harilal Yadav, former Union minister Ramkripal Yadav and Ashok Yadav, national president of the All India Yadav Mahasabha Ahir and organiser of the event.
