Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader and INDIA bloc’s Chief Ministerial face for Bihar Tejashwi Yadav on Sunday (October 26, 2025) said that the Waqf (Amendment) Act would be “thrown in the dustbin” if his party comes to power in the State. 

He also said allowances of the representatives of Bihar’s panchayati raj system will be doubled if the INDIA bloc comes to power in the state.

The Communist Party of India (Marxist-Leninist) Liberation on Sunday (October 26, 2025) released its Sankalp Patra for the polls, promising justice for the landless, redistribution of around 21 lakh acres of land, loan waiver for farmers and rural labourers, and 65% reservation for disadvantaged communities, among others.

Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s JD(U) expelled 16 leaders, including a sitting MLA and two former Ministers, most of whom have entered the fray against official NDA candidates.

    'PM is coming to cheat Bihar', says Tejashwi Yadav on PM Modi's visit

    Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader and Mahagatbandhan’s Chief Ministerial candidate Tejashwi Yadav took a dig at Prime Minister Narendra Modi ahead of his visit to poll-bound Bihar, alleging that PM Modi is “coming to cheat Bihar.”

    Speaking to the media in Patna, Mr. Yadav said that mere visits and rallies by the Prime Minister would not change the reality on the ground.

    “Look, everyone has to come for elections. What difference will merely his coming here make? Everyone knows that he (Pm Modi) is coming to cheat Bihar,” Mr. Yadav said

    The former Deputy Chief Minister questioned the Prime Minister’s development record and demanded transparency in central allocations to Bihar.

    'No one can compete with us', JJD chief Tej Pratap Yadav

    Janshakti Janata Dal Chief Tej Pratap Yadav exudes confidence, saying he is receiving support from the people of Mahua. He also affirmed that no one can compete with the party.

    “You all should come to Mahua and see if I am getting support or not. No one can compete with us. No one can stand in front of the blackboard...An atmosphere of targeting the Muslims should not be created,” he said while speaking to the reporters.

    Meanwhile, on Friday (October 4, 2025), JJD chief Yadav said that the voters will determine the outcome of the Bihar assembly polls on November 6 and November 11 and said that time will decide which party will be voted to power after the announcement of results on November 14.

    He also clarified that his party’s agenda is to work for the people of the State.
