BITSAT 2026 registration and exam schedule announced

BITS Pilani has officially announced the registration dates and complete examination schedule for the Birla Institute of Technology and Science Admission Test (BITSAT) 2026.

The application window will open on December 15, 2025, and candidates can apply for Session 1 or both sessions until March 16, 2026. All updates, instructions, and the application form will be available exclusively on the official portal: admissions.bits-pilani.ac.in.

Two sessions confirmed for BITSAT 2026

BITSAT 2026 will be conducted in two separate sessions to give aspirants flexibility and a chance to improve their scores.

  • Session 1: April 15 to April 17, 2026
  • Session 2: May 24 to May 26, 2026

Candidates may choose to appear in either session or both. For those appearing twice, the best of the two scores will be used for admissions.

Online-only registration and form submission

The entire registration and application process will remain online. Applicants must complete the form, upload documents, and pay the examination fee only through admissions.bits-pilani.ac.in. BITS Pilani has reiterated that no other website or third-party platform is authorised to accept BITSAT applications or payments.

BITSAT exam pattern and marking scheme

BITSAT will continue with its well-established computer-based, adaptive testing model. The test evaluates students across five sections:

  • Physics
  • Chemistry
  • Mathematics/Biology
  • English Proficiency
  • Logical Reasoning

The question paper includes 130 core questions with an additional 12 bonus questions for candidates who finish the main sections early. The marking structure remains unchanged: +3 for every correct answer and −1 for each incorrect response, with no marks awarded for unattempted questions.

BITSAT scores will form the basis for admission to undergraduate engineering, pharmacy, and integrated science programmes offered across the three BITS campuses:

Students applying for B.Pharm programs may choose to attempt the Mathematics or Biology section depending on eligibility and course preference.
