While Dwyane Wade has retired from the league, Gabrielle Union is still actively working in Hollywood and recently celebrated her movie, Bring It On, turning 25.
Even though the movie was highly successful, Gabrielle Union once opened up about her regrets in portraying a Black character.

A few years ago, in 2021, Gabrielle Union spoke to Good Morning America where she opened up about portraying the character of Isis in the movie and the things she regrets.Gabrielle Union said, “I was given full range to do whatever I wanted with Isis in Bring It On, and I chose respectability, and to be classy, and take the high road because I felt like that would make her appropriate, the right kind of Black girl…”
The popular actress added, “Black girls aren’t allowed to be angry.
Certainly not demonstratively angry and I muzzled her…I would’ve allowed her to be angry. I would have allowed her her full humanity.”Gabrielle Union continued, “I made her gracious, this decent kind leader, and I was still a villain in that movie for making her want accountability for the theft of their work product and the cultural appropriation…”The Being Mary Jane actress has always been very public about the struggles she has faced in the industry because of her ethnicity.
However, despite the things that she has faced, Gabrielle Union has put it all behind and has always focused on her career.
