A piece of CCTV footage, being shared on social media platforms, captures the moment when multiple cluster munitions from what the Israeli military said was an Iranian missile hit a residential area Sunday morning in Central Israel.

A visual showed a massive blaze emerging from the site, followed by a thick haze of smoke.

The strike came as the war between the United States-Israel and Iran entered its 16th day, with Tehran launching a fresh wave of ballistic missile strikes on Jerusalem overnight on March 15.

Sirens sounded across central Israel as Iranian missiles targeted multiple regions. Reports and online footage also showed fires and impacts in cities across the Tel Aviv region as air defenses attempted to intercept missiles.

Suspicion Over Israel’s Air Defense?

Iran’s salvos aimed at Israel has raised questions about the effectiveness of Jerusalem’s air defense network. Witness accounts and videos making rounds online suggested some of the projectiles evaded interception systems.

Footage shared on social media platforms purportedly showed parts of Tel Aviv engulfed in flames, with plumes of smoke enveloping the city’s skyline following the attacks.

Additional impacts were also reported in Netanya and Petah Tikva, triggering concerns about residents’ safety and security.

According to media reports, since the beginning of the war, 15 civilians have been killed in Israel, and more than 3,195 people have sustained injuries as a result of direct impacts, falling interceptor debris, and secondary damage.

In addition, widespread damage to residential buildings, commercial sites, and critical infrastructure has been reported, with heavy impacts visible around the Tel Aviv region.

Wide-Scale Strikes On Tehran

The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) launched wave of extensive strikes in Western Iran, targeting the infrastructure.

“We are targeting Iranian military installations; Iran targeting civilians", Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar said, while speaking to journalists.
