Victor Wembanyama just etched his name into NBA history.

The Spurs superstar recorded at least one block for the 100th straight regular-season game in San Antonio’s emphatic 126-98 win over the Atlanta Hawks, joining an elite defensive club occupied only by Patrick Ewing and Dikembe Mutombo.

Wembanyama dominated on both ends, posting 26 points, 12 assists and two blocks. His milestone moment came midway through the third quarter when he erased a Dyson Daniels attempt off the backboard, later adding another swat on rookie Asa Newell. The streak dates back to his rookie year — the last time he failed to register a block was January 10, 2024.

Only Ewing (145 games) and Mutombo (116) have ever gone longer since blocks became an official stat in 1973-74. At just 21, Wembanyama is already rewriting timelines.

Despite missing 12 games earlier this season with a calf strain, he now has 51 blocks and hasn’t missed a beat since returning in December. His impact is translating to wins, too: the Spurs are 20–7, reaching 20 victories more than a month earlier than last season.

San Antonio heads to Washington next before a marquee home clash with Oklahoma City.

Elsewhere, Friday, the Knicks’ seven-game streak ended in a 116–107 loss to Philadelphia, led by Tyrese Maxey’s 30 points, while Jaylen Brown stayed scorching hot as Boston beat Miami, hitting 30+ points for a sixth straight game.
