Inside Khan Sir’s low-cost hospital in Patna inspired by his mother

Inspired by his mother's vision to make hospitals and medical services affordable to all, Khan Sir's hospitals in Patna offer services and tests at minimal prices.Reports suggest the hospital offers blood tests at Rs 7 and ECG at Rs 25. “Our aim is to make healthcare accessible to everyone. Treatment here will be cheaper than in government hospitals,” Khan Sir told the Patna Press. The hospital aims to have a blood bank and cancer treatment facilities. The hospital has a fully functional dialysis unit equipped with all sorts of advanced machines. As per reports the dialysis and all the basic surgeries will cost even less than what many government hospitals. A striking feature of the hospital is that the operation theatre is designed with medical-grade anti-infection mats, which resemble marble. Khan Sir rejected the idea of using glossy tiles for the operation theatre because, "when two tiles join, their fine gap becomes a home for bacteria, viruses and fungus. Even mustard seeds could hold thousands of them.Khan Sir's hospital is making headlines because medical bills in India have a way of hitting you when you’re least prepared.

Tests, scans, medicines, room charges, doctor fees — it adds up fast. And for most common citizens, this isn’t money sitting around in a savings account. High medical costs change decisions. Parents hesitate before tests. Elderly people avoid follow-ups. Chronic patients cut down on medicines to save money.

Health becomes a constant calculation instead of a basic right.Khan Sir isn’t just another name you scroll past on social media, to a lot of people in India, especially in Bihar and nearby states, he’s become the teacher everyone talks about.

He started out as a small‑time educator, someone who wasn’t born into fame or fancy degrees from big institutions. Instead, he learned how to teach the way real students actually understand things, simple, no beating around the bush, and straight from experience.

That’s what made him stand out in a sea of coaching classes that often felt textbook and distant. His real breakthrough came when he began teaching online. People realised pretty quickly that Khan Sir doesn’t talk like a lecture robot. He talks like he’s in the room with you, cracking jokes, using everyday examples, and breaking down tough topics in a way that makes you go, Ohhh, now I get it. His videos on history, polity, economics, and exams blew up because students were tired of boring explanations. They wanted real talk, not just bookish lines.

And Khan Sir gave them just that.
