Bobby Deol to play 'grey' character alongside Ahaan Panday and Sharvari for Ali Abbas Zafar's directorial action thriller - Reports

Director Ali Abbas Zafar's highly anticipated directorial project, set to launch Ahaan Panday's second film alongside actress Sharvari, has landed a massive new cast member: veteran actor Bobby Deol. Riding a wave of success, Deol has been confirmed to join the action thriller, where he will play the primary antagonist to Ahaan Panday’s hero.

As per reports shared by Mid Day, the veteran actor will be joining Pandey and Sharvari in the upcoming action thriller film, which is being made by Ali Abbas Zafar. Deol will be taking over the role of the adversary to Panday's character in the film, further elevating the excitement surrounding the project. Since it was previously reported that the 'Saiyaara' actor is going to be undergoing rigorous training for the role, Deol's addition and brief character description leave a lot up for imagination.A statement from the reports shared more insights about the 'Bandar' actor, stating that "It will be incorrect to call him the villain. His character is in an authoritative position in the film, but there is more than meets the eye. As the story progresses, Bobby's character is shown having grey shades, which influences his dynamics with the hero."The report also said that the creators of the film cast Deol specifically and also wished to keep him away from the general villainous roles he has been playing in his recent projects.

The statement shared in the report read that "The director crafted a larger-than-life persona, keeping Bobby in mind, but at the same time, gave the character personal motivations and shades of grey. Bobby came on board only a week ago."
