A 41-year-old man, Sushil Kumar, was discovered deceased beside a road in Patna's Danapur area. He was reportedly seen sitting on a shop platform for hours before his body was found. Police found no external injuries and suspect the death may be due to cold. His family has been informed.
Patna: The body of a 41-year-old man was found beside Gabthal Panchsheel Nagar Road in Danapur area of Patna district on Saturday morning.Police said the man, identified as Sushil Kumar, was spotted sitting on a shop’s platform from 10pm on Friday.
Local people told the police that he remained there for several hours, but no one was aware of what transpired afterwards.Upon receiving information, teams from Dial 112 and local police rushed to the spot. No external injuries were visible on the body, a police officer said.A purse containing personal documents, including an Aadhaar card, was found scattered on the platform near the body. With the help of the Aadhaar card, it was found that Sushil was a resident of Chhajjanganj Bhaluhipur area in Bhojpur district.
Police contacted phone numbers listed in the purse and informed his family members about the death.Danapur SHO Prashant Kumar Bhardwaj said, “There were no visible injuries on the body. Further legal action will be taken after the postmortem report is received.”He added: “An investigation is going on to determine the exact circumstances surrounding the death, including whether it was due to natural cause, illness, or any other factor. Prima facie it appears that he died of cold. According to the family, Sushil came to Patna to visit his sister’s place in Danapur.”
